How to create an illuminated water garden

For this project you will require a small, enclosed courtyard about 32 ft to create this garden.

Order of work -

  1. Draw up a sketch of the design first - then make a detailed diagram taking into consideration the house, boundaries, structures and large trees. Note all drains in the area.
  2. Get rid of all unwanted plants
  3. Construct the circular pond using flexible liner
  4. Set the fountain up at the center of the pond on a plinth made from a stack of paving slabs
  5. Set your chosen underwater lighting up on a shelf within the pond
  6. Pave the courtyard
  7. Add plants such as Chusan Palm and Bay

Care and maintenance...

You must clean the pond, the lighting and all other equipment that is giving life to the illuminated water garden. Remove all leaves and debris. Ensure that all plugs, cables and connecting units are in perfect working order. Pay special attention to the inside surface of the pond and the lighting units.
